Her itchy feet and soles in the office

Ginger started to play squash recently and since then her feet are itching sometimes. It's quite annoying but it's not too bad. That is until today when she's in the office and her feet started to itch again. And it was getting worse and worse over time and at the end she could not take it anymore and had to scratch her feet more and more but it got only worse. Could it be the nylons socks maybe and not the squash? She takes them off but the itching is still getting worse. What is this?! How can it itch so bad?? She never experienced anything like this and she needs to do anything and everything to get it to stop. Her big feet are getting sweaty from all the movement and scratching and nothing is helping. Her colleague gives her a lotion that should help but after she tries it it helps just for a minute and than it's twice as bad as before. Her bare feet are on fire and the feeling is terrible, she has to scratch more and more, using tools for it now and hoping it will be gone some time soon.
